Cruise lines have shuttle services that take passengers straight from the airport to the terminal. However, this transport method is expensive, which is why you should consider it only when necessary. This lovely 10-acre riverfront park is located at 701 Thurm Blvd., Cape Canaveral (about six minutes from the port). There's no guarantee that you'll see one but it's a good place to try if you don't want to drive up to Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. Near the port, your best option is the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront (47,000 to 50,000 Hilton Honors points per night). It's a full-service property with a restaurant, bar, beach grill and coffee shop so no matter what time you arrive, you should be able to grab a meal or a snack.

For season 2019, the cruise port reported a record berth booking with estimated 4,7+ million passengers. You're looking at about $83 from SFB and $119 from Daytona Beach airport.
The number of multi-day passengers (4,234+ million) was 7,1% increase over 2016. Statistics showed that just in March 2017, the number of visiting cruiseship tourists was 469,847. This was the Port's 1-month record and a 19% increase over March 2016.

Nonetheless, it was nice to have another place to sit other than our beds. When I originally booked this cruise, I selected an interior guarantee cabin for me and my dad. This type of cabin is usually what I select for my cruises because it is the cheapest option. I’d rather spend my money on other things, like specialty dining or activities, than pay for a larger or balcony cabin.

An Officer’s Suite, which might be the only one of its kind, provides you with the chance to stay in the heart of the officer quarters tucked right behind the Bridge. The area immediately surrounding the port doesn't offer much more excitement than, say, San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf or Honolulu's Waikiki. We wandered a bit before sitting down to dinner at a charming but completely empty Dutch restaurant called de Suike. Two glasses of wine, shared portions of pasta and salad, and two coffees came out to about $50 (and, yes -- everywhere in Aruba seems to accept dollars), roughly what we would have paid at home. Tamarind, the top-floor Pan-Asian restaurant, had excellent service, stunning views and served food that I'd describe as good but not memorable. Canaletto serves Italian cuisine and was, frankly, awful -- we each ended up with a plate of some sort of straight-from-the-box noodles in a heavy cream sauce.

An Aruban man with a deep voice and an incomprehensible accent barked instructions and Aruba trivia at us for the first 20 minutes as we ventured away from shore. Then the boat sped off to a reef near the other end of the island. The boat had a section in front that was like a wide, flat lounge chair -- essentially a thick piece of mesh separating us from the water -- where we could relax and sunbathe on the trip.
We will be staying close to home with a voyage in the Caribbean, featuring wonderful beach stops in Turks and Caicos, St. Thomas/St. John, San Juan, Puerto Rico and our own private island Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. While onboard, we will be dazzled by the very best of our entertainers. We will have parties and special events—plus lots of surprises to make this the most extraordinary, historic, and unforgettable journey for everyone onboard! In early 2013, Olivia celebrated its 40-year anniversary with two weeklong Caribbean cruises, honoring the company's legacy with performances by some of the record label's original artists.
Nieuw Amsterdam accommodations gave us very little to complain about. The main attraction of our cabin was a nice-sized verandah that overlooked the Caribbean Sea. Our stateroom had a comfy queen bed and sitting area with a love seat and coffee table, making good use of the small space. We anchored early in the morning and took tenders to the island in groups of 50 or so, as the island is too small to have an actual port. We were greeted by a couple of sexy blond pirate girls who posed for photos as we approached the "village" of Half Moon Cay -- a small, faux-colonial array of buildings, including souvenir shops, a post office, a wedding chapel and a bar.
